NIIS Corrosion Awareness Awards
AMPP India Chapter (formerly NACE International India Section) Corrosion Awareness Awards are presented to honour and respect individuals / institutions for their contribution to corrosion awareness and developments in the field of corrosion science and technology in India. Over the years, 141 scientists / teachers / engineers/ professional; along with 53 students and 27 public / private sector laboratories has been honoured with NIGIS corrosion awareness awards, presented under various categories
NIIS invites applications for the following corrosions awareness awards for the year 2021-22 to be presented during CORCON 2022 International Conference & Expo to be held during 14 - 17 Sept 2022 at Ananta Hotels and Resorts, Udaipur.
The last date for the receipt for applications at NIGIS office is 11 July 2022.

1-Excellence in Corrosion Science & Technology Awards
For excellent contributions to the field of corrosion evaluation, corrosion control, corrosion management and corrosion awareness
Award : A plaque, certificate and honorarium of Rs. 31,000/-
Number of Awards : Three (3)
Award (1) - A person older than 40 years of age working in research / educational organization
Award (2) - A person older than 40 years of age working in oil / gas related organization
Award (3) - A person older than 40 years of age working in the field of quality management and control
2- Distinction in Corrosion Science & Technology Awards
For distinctive contribution to the field of corrosion evaluation, corrosion control, corrosion management and corrosion awareness including some exemplary contributions / achievements
Award : A plaque, certificate and honorarium of Rs. 25,000/-
Number of Awards : Two (2)
Award (1) - A person between 25 and 40 years of age working in an industrial organization
Award (2) - A person between 25 and 40 years of age working in a research / educational organization
3.Excellent Laboratory Award
For excellent contribution to the field of corrosion science & technology by monitoring, testing, evaluation of performance and quality of materials, and research / development works.
Award : A plaque and certificate
Number of Awards : One(1)
4.Student Awards
For thesis on corrosion science & technology for degree during the year commencing 1st July 2021 and ending 30th June 2022.

Number of Awards : Two (2)
Award (1) - Ph D Degree, Honorarium Rs. 21,000/-
Award (2) - M Tech / ME / MSc. Degree, Honorarium of Rs 15,000/-
5.Meritorious Contribution Award
For meritorious contributions to the field of corrosion science and technology and activities of NACE and other similar organizations
Award : A plaque, certificate and honorarium of Rs. 51,000/-

Award (1) - A person working in academic or research and development organization
Award (2) - A person working in an industrial organization
6.Lifetime Achievement Award (Nominated Award)
This award will be presented to the nominee selected by the Section Governing Board of NIGIS
